St. Charles Fire Department: Sound the Alarm

♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ I’m Captain Hunsel with St.
Charles City Fire Department, and I’m excited to announce
that we’re partnering with the American Red Cross
and local volunteers for the annual Sound
the Alarm event. The Fire Department
will be out in a blitz on April 28th to install up to 200 smoke alarms for
local area residents. We will be focusing
on 5 areas of the City: Deerfield, Town West, Fox Run and Elm Point
mobile home parks, as well at St. Charles Heights
in the Frenchtown area. Our crews will be out providing
information to these residents so that you can set up
an appointment time for us to come out and
install these smoke detectors. Residents are elegible for 3
10-year smoke detectors. That means that you don’t
have to change the battery, and the alarms are
good for 10 years. If you don’t see information about us canvassing
your neighborhood, you can still contact
the Fire Chief’s office for separate installation.
