Orpington bus crash: One dead and 15 injured as two buses and a car clash in South London – News 24


 ONE person has died and 15 injured after a tragic three-way crash involving two buses and a car in South London  Emergency services rushed to Orpington, south east London at around 10.15pm last night after repost of a severe collision  A photo of the scene shows two buses mounted on a pavement while a crushed car sits close to the curb  Police are treating the incident as a “serious traffic collision”. They reported that one person was pronounced dead at the scene while 15 others have been rushed to hospital   It is not yet clear how serious the injuries are of those involved. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Sevenoaks Road in Orpington at 10 12pm on Thursday, October 31 following a report of a road traffic collision. “Officers, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service all attended to a collision between two London buses and one car  “One person was pronounced dead at the scene.” :  Witness Mark Jeffries told The Sun Online that the buses were travelling in opposite directions when they smashed into each other  He said: “It was really horrific – the buses collided and then the car drove through the middle of them  “One person was thrown through the window on one of the buses and it looked like people on the pavement were hit  “The sounds were horrific – you could hear the screaming.   “There were children being comforted on the pavement as some had been out trick or treating on the road  “It’s horrendous.” The London Ambulance service confirmed they had now left the scene and taken the wounded with them  Orpington is part of Greater London and is around 18 miles from the city’s centre
