I’m a Celebrity fans demand answers as Coronation Street’s Andrew Whyment is missing from line-up –

I’m a Celebrity and Coronation Street actors are demanding answers after realising that the highly rumoured Andrew Whyment is missing from the line-up  The actor, best known as playing Kirk in Corrie, has been in the rumour mill as a potential contestant for this year’s series, but wasn’t in the cast photo when the cast was revealed last night  Suspicions he would be taking part came after other stars from the soap have fared well under the pressure of the jungle games  Most notably Andy’s co-star Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, took part in the 2017 series of the show and came in fourth, leaving just a day before the final on the season that Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo won  Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter also took part and came fifth in 2015, Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas took part in 2016 placing third  In 2018, three rival soap stars went head-to-head, with Hollyoaks’ Malique Thompson-Dwyer, Corrie’s Sair Khan and EastEnders’ Rita Simons all in the jungle together  At least one soap represented for the past 15 years without fail – but there’s normally at least two  While former ‘Enders star Jacqueline Jossa is flying the flag for soap stars this year, fans were still expecting Andy – who’s played Kirk since 2000 – to be in there with her Fans are clearly gutted he’s missing – and are hopeful he’ll make a late appearance    Whether Andrew ‘Kirk from Corrie’ Whyment will make an appearance remains to be seen – but the jungle is never shy on having a late entry or two in the game  He may even find himself going head-to-head for a spot with fellow Corrie actor Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, considering he was thought to be a campmate earlier this year To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video  However, they’ll be having one hell of a fight to get there…it’s not like the jungle’s been known to be a cakewalk  It seems that the gang could be in trouble before they begin though – as blazing bushfires have been tearing their way through the area      The closest fires are only 10km away, but the team have insisted there’s ‘no cause for concern’ at the moment  An I spokesperson added: ‘We are in constant contact with the NSW fire brigade and are closely monitoring the situation ’  I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here starts Sunday at 9pm on I.
