Boston firefighter accused of sexual assault


PANTS, AND TRIED TO RAPE HER. AUTHORITIES SAY 37-YEAR-OLD
DAVID SANCHEZ, A BOSTON
FIREFIGHTER, IS FACING CHARGES
AFTER THEY SAY A WOMAN CAME
BEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED AT THIS
FIRE STATION IN JAMAICA PLAIN IN JANUAR
ACCORDING TO A POLICE REPORT,
THE VICTIM TOLD OFFICERS SANCHEZ
“PULLED HER PANTS DOWN EXPOSING
HER” WHILE AT THE SAME TIME
“EXPOSED HIS GENITALS AND PROCEEDED TO TURN HER AROUND AND
PUSH HER OVER A COUCH. THE VICTIM TELLING OFFICERS SHE
REFUSED THE ADVANCES, ADDING
THAT AS SHE WAS TRYING TO PULL
HER PANTS BACK UP THE SUSPECT
, GRABBED HER BY THE HEAD AND
FORCIBLY PUSHED HER HEAD. COURT DOCUMENTS SHOW THE VICTIM
TOLD THE SUSPECT “NO” AND “THIS
IS NOT HAPPENING.”
COMMISSIONER FINN WITH THE
BOSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT RELEASED
A STATEMENT TODAY SAYING IN PART, “THE DEPARTMENT “TAKESE
— TAKES THESE ALLEGATIONS VERY
SERIOUSLY AND TEHY WARRANT OUR
— THEY WEREN’T OUR FULL
ATTENTION.”
GOING ON TO SAY “WE WILL SITUATION AND TAKE SWIFT AND
APPROPRIATE ACTION IF AND WHEN
IT IS NECESSARY.”
SANCHEZ IS NOW BEING CHARGED
WITH INDECENT ASSAULT AND
BATTERY IN A PERSON OVER 14 AND ASSAULT AND BATTERY. HIS NEXT COURT DATE IS IN JUNE. WE REACHED OUT TO SANCHEZ BY THE
